MY SISTER is a visitor to this area and would like to pass on her thanks to the woman she has just met in Verdin Park last week while she was walking her dog.

A blonde woman pulled up in a black people carrier, let her black Labrador out while it did a number two and then put the dog in the car and prepared to drive away without picking it up and putting it in the dog mess bin not more than ten feet away.

When challenged to pick it up she said "why should I?"

She then used the excuse that she had a child in the car, not sure of the relevance here, but the poor dog wasn't even getting a walk just a toilet stop.

Eventually after a heated verbal exchange, and after my sister said she she had taken her car registration number and would report her to the dog warden, the woman finally agreed to pick up.

Well done for finally seeing the error of your ways, but please be assured that you have been reported anyway in the hopes that this will prevent further episodes.

My son plays football on that field, lots of children use it to cross when going back and to to school and I for one don't want to be cleaning your dog poo off his shoes just because you are lazy.
