OBVIOUSLY Cheshire West and Chester Council has given the the go-ahead to Asda to build yet another supermarket on a prime site in Northwich, hot on the heels of Waitrose.
Has it ever occurred to them to ask the views of Northwich residents?
Perhaps they might also take notice of the closures of dozens of UK stores and the deferment or cancellation of plans for more, not to mention loss of jobs.
I hope our council is capable of thinking outside the box, or is that too much to expect?
