CHESHIRE East have agreed an investigation for a new crossing on Lewin Street.

They have also announced that "a waste transfer site" is to be opened in the town (will this be where the new waste tip was passed but not developed years ago?)

No doubt the construction of a WTS will bring more LGV/HGV vehicles in and out of the town carrying waste and recycling. This will mean "bin" lorries through the town centre every working day of the week.

A road system which includes a narrow main road and congested areas will carry extra loads to the council's current contractor at Shotton I believe for processing.

No doubt the traffic will arrive before the bypass not forgetting we will also have vehicles travelling to Cheshire Fresh as I believe the site at Chelford will have to be vacated this year.

Have CE secured funding for the bypass from the Government pinch point funding?

Have CE applied for funding from this scheme?

Have the council considered placing any waste transfer site in the authority area close to a rail line? Even if this was at Middlewich it could help get the branch line in use.
