IT WAS proven outright by the Guardian last week that bad press sells over good press, if the front page is anything to go by.
The leading article is regarding a teenage sex offender who has been jailed. Back on Page 4, is an excellent article on a very high profile visit from the Rt Hon Michael Fallon to talk to air and army cadets based in Northwich.
I am of course biased and have a personal interest, but would members of the public not prefer to see a positive article on the front page, rather than the ugly mug of a criminal?
There are hundreds of teenagers doing great things in Northwich, but this does seem to be often overlooked by the press in general, in favour of attention-grabbing headlines.
