Clr Weltman has informed us that planners have recommended piling will be allowed on the Beehive Lane development, overturning the National Planning Inspector’s decision, and that this recommendation is now with CWAC’s legal department.

It should come as no surprise that the same team has allowed Richborough Estates' appeal to remove the National Planning Inspector’s decision to impose a condition of No Piling on the Beehive Lane/Barnside Way development.

They appear to be determined to drive this development through.

We now know that Bovis Homes have applied to allow crown lifting on the wonderful trees in Beehive Lane, trees that add so much to the character of Moulton village, to allow easier access for construction traffic.

Only outline planning permission has yet been granted for the development, so surely it is a little premature to radically alter these wonderful trees!

Stephen O’Brien MP says he is appalled at the cynical attempt by the developers to avoid the conditions set out by the National Planning Inspector when they were granted planning permission.

It is indeed extraordinary that this could even be considered after all the time and expense of the Planning Inquiry. Mr O’Brien also stated that he had “objected in the strongest possible terms to the Chief Executive of CWAC”.

CWAC officers have ignored this, as well as the parish council and residents of Moulton where there were over 1,000 objections to the original application.

It has now been accepted that CWAC has over five years' land availability. This is particularly upsetting for Moulton residents as the Richborough Estates Development appeal was allowed mainly due to a lack of five-year land availability.

I also think that it is an outrage that developers and planners have meetings, the outcome of which affects us all, that are not minuted.

Please, residents of Mid Cheshire, contact your local councillors and MP to tell them what you think of the planning decisions of your CWAC planning officers, particularly if you live near any open space or green field, before it is too late, or you will find a developer applying for planning permission.
