WHOEVER designed the Northwich Bullring - aesthetically pleasing it may be but practical it is not.
I was looking forward to the finished product and freer flowing traffic through the town due to the new system, sadly this was not to be.
Pedestrians wishing to crossover to the NatWest bank now have to take their lives in their hands. Due to the removal of the traffic lights, it is impossible to know who has the right of way; pedestrians or traffic.
Traffic however has another problem as the road has been narrowed and does not allow safe passage for two vehicles side by side when they exit the town bridge. A large vehicle must cross the central white line in order to proceed up Watling street, endangering itself, any neighbouring vehicle and any pedestrian waiting to cross at the pelican crossing. It will not be long before there is a serious accident in this area.
