WINSFORD will change, whether we like it or not.

But, unlike those powerless residents of a previous generation, where a development plan was literally bulldozed through the heart of the town, today’s residents have the chance to shape the Winsford of the future.

I want to live in a modern, forward-looking town that has charge of its future, a town where a blueprint for housing, business, retail and leisure protects all that we cherish, and creates a framework for planners and developers to work within.

The Winsford Neighbourhood Plan will do that for today’s residents, and for those who come after us.

To those who may think they can resist the changes that will come, ask yourselves “who's side are you on?”

Are you not ultimately aiding the developers, for whom the door is still open?

Switch now and vote Yes on October 23, (yeswinsford.org) the most important date in the history of Winsford in living memory.

Remember: people don’t plan to fail but they do fail to plan.

Would you wish that to be your legacy to the next generation, for whom Winsford will be home?
