ALTHOUGH Bank Holiday Monday was a bit of a washout, this year’s Northwich Festival was a big success.

More people than last year attended the Friday, Saturday and Sunday events and the Help for Heroes rugby tournament will now become a permanent charitable component of the four-day Moss Farm festival.

Many local, regional and national companies add value to the festival, but special mention is due for the services and materials provided free of charge from Eric Johnson Electricians, ROJAC, The Works Gym, Brio Leisure, Calor Gas, Roberts Bakery and both the Northwich and Cheshire West and Chester Councils.

They all demonstrated that social corporate responsibility is alive and well and that something really special can be achieved when organisations pull together for the good of the community.

Thanks are also due to many local CWAC councillors who contributed towards the growing festival, and the Northwich Guardian played a pivotal role in publicising the many different aspects of this jewel in the Northwich social calendar.

The festival committee promises to host an even bigger and better festival for August Bank Holiday Weekend 2015.

See you there.
