Vicar refusal
MY sister’s friend Barbara married an American serviceman.
Their first child was a girl and an appointment was made to see the Vicar of Hartford about a christening ceremony.
At the meeting the Vicar asked for the proposed name, and was told Misty Sue. He refused to christen the child as it was not considered a proper name.
That child is now in her 50s and lives in South Carolina.
