I WAS interested, but not surprised by the article in last week's Guardian regarding the construction site on Tewkesbury Drive.
I too have contacted the planning department about the lack of warning signs on the A530 Nantwich Road clearly showing site/works entrance, vehicles crossing carriageway (double white lines at official entrance point) heavy plant etc.
Speaking of the planning department, I wrote to them suggesting green energy (solar and grey water storage).
Put your hands up anyone who thinks I got a response!
Cheshire East is quite rightly expressing interest in geothermal energy at Pymms Lane, Crewe, so why not look at the possibilities of green energy with new housing construction?
I trust the planners have taken seriously my suggestion for a kissing gate on the path to be constructed from Nantwich Road to the existing housing on Tewkesbury Drive as unrestricted access could open up an Aladdin's Cave escape route for any burglars on cycles etc where presently there is only access one-way through the estate.
This new path, if left unrestricted in the event of an incident, would mean two access points to be policed instead of one.
