IN response to the article in the Guardian, July 2, I would like to respond to the comments as I feel using the phrase ‘three-year decline’ is misleading in relation to the previous regime.
In 2011 the school was in the top 100 schools in the country and the judgments from Ofsted in June 2011, included four Grade 1s, one of these was for behaviour.
A report in February 2012 from the School Improvement Partner, was full of praise for both the head teacher at that time and the governing body. He recognised that if the results had been available at the 2011 inspection, an ‘outstanding’ judgement would have been given.
In 2012 results were still classed as excellent on the Raise on line report.
Given the information above I think ‘three-year decline’ would seem to be an inappropriate comment.
