THE August bank holiday weekend will soon be with us and the plans for the bigger and better Northwich and Cheshire Festival are nearing completion.
The intention is to provide something for everyone and from the Independent Living Awareness Day on the Friday through to the Saturday ladies rugby tournament, the Help for Heroes event and bikers show on the Sunday and the full blown Bank Holiday Monday extravaganza, this year’s event really will put the town on the map.
Music is big on the agenda on all four days with a ‘Neil Diamond’ tribute at the Friday Las Vegas Casino party night, both Cheeky Monkey and Jam Town Rockers on stage on Saturday evening and full day music festivals on Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday.
My purpose in writing this letter is to give a final opportunity to local businesses, clubs and associations to join me in showcasing everything that is positive about this town.
There are loads of opportunities to get involved with the festival and by taking a look at northwichfestival.co.uk you will be able to judge the scale of this year’s Moss Farm-based event.
