THE recent fall in unemployment figures hide a very serious problem especially in places like Winsford.

It is estimated that almost half of the so called one million "new" jobs created by the coalition government are either zero-hour contracts, part-time work or short-term contracts.

Labour say that a job should provide enough income to put a roof over your head, pay your bills and put food on the table, is that really too much to ask?

With Winsford having the highest youth unemployment rate in the borough, and significant investment by the Cheshire West and Chester Council leading group in Chester and Northwich, surely it is now time to focus attention on Winsford?
