Disturbed by missing flowers

4:48pm Tuesday 29th April 2014

I WAS disturbed by the letter from ‘Disgusted ex-resident’, Guardian, April 23, about her silk flower arrangement that had gone missing from her husband’s grave in Barnton cemetery.

My sister and I both care for our parents’ grave at the same cemetery and had also laid a silk flower arrangement.

I visited the grave recently to check the flowers and they were fine.

We have weighted them down so the wind can’t take them away.

I noticed, however, that there were a number of silk flowers blowing around on the grass and I didn’t know which grave they had come from.

I wouldn’t like to think that anyone would take flowers from a grave and I think that that the ladies’ flowers have blown away and not been stolen.
