WHILE searching through my memorabilia for First World War items for my daughter, I came across a little book, which was written by a padre during the First World War.
His name was GA Studdert Kennedy M.C. C.F. and his book is entitled Rough Rhymes of a Padre. He was also known to his comrades as Woodbine Willie.
He was so appalled with the sights he saw he kept an account of them and wrote them all down as poems.
Although the book is old and the pages grown with age, to read it really tells you of the horrific times from 1914 to 1918.
I just wondered if any other Guardian readers have a copy.
I know I’ll never part with mine.
