Keep power stations away

‘HOW will we keep the lights on in future?’ asks your columnist The Fly.
Well certainly not by allowing the French and Chinese to build our new nuclear power stations, Knutsford Guardian, October 23 ‘Jobs boost is electric!’ Use the £40 billion about to be squandered on the daft HS2 idea to fund our own power stations, be they nuclear or oil powered.
As for the incinerator to be built at Lostock, it will produce as little power as wind farm. It will clog up our roads with 200 lorries a day which will also pollute the atmosphere.
As we re-cycle more than any other area in Cheshire, and are one of the best in the whole country, it is not required by us but by other areas of the country so build it where they re-cycle the least.
As a Meerkat would say, ‘Simples’.
