The biggest and best yet

THE Northwich Festival, held at Moss Farm over the August bank holiday weekend was the biggest and best yet with a footfall in excess of 10,000 over the four day event.
And, for once, we were blessed with good weather.
The festival is organised by Northwich RUFC which is supported and sponsored by a host of local, national and international companies, businesses, clubs and associations.
The event celebrates its 30th anniversary next year and the festival committee strive to make it the best value for money event in the Northwich social calendar.
The objective of the festival is threefold.
Firstly to raise money for the rugby club to spend on its community rugby programmes.
Secondly, to invest in next year’s festival.
Thirdly, and just as important, to put Northwich on the map.
The rugby club derives no income from its Moss Farm base and relies entirely upon membership fees, sponsorship and funds through car boot sales and the festival to finance its entire operation.
We try to produce a varied and entertaining festival and recent feedback suggests we did just that.
The festival committee has already started work on putting together something special for the 30th Northwich Festival in 2014.
Once again a big thank you to all those who contributed in any way in this year’s production.
