Dial a ride service is vital

I HAVE been using Dial-a-Ride for several years for my shopping trips, Guardian, March 6.

Before 9.30am you paid half fare if you had a bus pass, after that it was free.

I am very happy to use Dial-a-Ride. You are picked up at your door, driven to the supermarket of your choice, collected at an agreed time, driven home and your shopping taken into your house.

We now know we are going to be charged the full bus fare, regardless of your bus pass, or even at what time you go.

I couldn’t do my shopping without this Dial-a-Ride service.

I’m aged 87, my husband is in a care home, which we are self funding, so I have to be careful when shopping.

Charging for Dial a ride - end of their free concessionary travel.
I believe there are efforts being made to reduce the charge - don't think this is a CWAC initiative. Only one answer - a free service, i feel physically sick at the way our seniors are treated. How soon we have become a totally self absorbed society, people should protest this madness.
