AS a frequent visitor to the area I fear HS2 is going to blight the beautiful villages of Cheshire which will get little or no advantages.
The English countryside is fast being eaten away with flood plain houses and now this HS2 in order to save a few rich business people a maximum hour or so to London. It will not bring business to the area but rather take it south. Trains not only leave London and Birmingham for the north but also from north to south.
Stop it now. This is Osborne’s idea to convince us he’s doing something to create jobs.
