I HAVE just read the Rose Fete article in the Guardian and am pleased to see the new committee is implementing some new ideas into the Rose Fete.
May I however correct one error, the entrants were always judged by three independent judges and not committee members, on the advice of the Cheshire Queens Association. The ‘old committee’ was glad that there were mums out there who were interested enough in the event to keep it going. We kept it going for as long as we felt able, but found that the girls were not entering. Good luck to all on the new committee, I hope they will be successful in their endeavours. We are all still here if they need any help.
