WHAT a level headed and enlightened woman the 59-year-old victim of a potentially serious air-gun incident must be (Guardian October 24).
Luckily the injury was minor. But many a one would have still pursued recriminations to the enth degree.
It is also heartening that we have Constables in our police force with the common sense and diligence of P.C Cinderson.
This incident, although potentially serious was dealt with at a ‘local level’ and verbal apologies accepted.
I only hope the perpetrator of this stupid incident realises how fortunate he was to receive so light a response for his idiocy.
Pity some of our more high profile personalities cannot be as “enlightened” when just a few verbal, but, derogatory terms are involved, sticks and stones etc.
