Join Guardian reporter and Stoke City fan Ian as he gets used to life in the Premiership.

IF I made up this story no-one would believe me: Brazilian international striker may join Stoke City.
But it’s true. I’m not suffering from visions caused by drinking too much coffee.
Fred, Robinho’s occasional strike partner in the South American national team has been made an offer. By Stoke.
Now admittedly we only have his word for it, Tony Pulis never comments on these things unless they come off and he won’t say a thing unless it does.
Who is Fred. Well check this out. It’s him scoring in three seconds flat in a game in Brazil!
But what a signing that would be. Let’s be honest, some potential signings make you punch the air and shout “yes!” Others just impress you and others just leave you speechless.
It’s made my day and even if it doesn’t come off I’ll still be cheered by the idea that a genuine Brazilian could play for Stoke.
Ian Probert delights in the idea that Fred could play for the Potters
This one has me chuckling to myself, it’s made my day and even if it doesn’t come off I’ll still be cheered by the idea that a genuine Brazilian could play for Stoke.
One who can score a goal like this one against Juventus!
Bit of an advance on Vincent Pericard, isn't he?
