Stoke City 1 Sunderland 0: reaction

By Ian Probert »

SOUNDS like a typical old style Pulis result doesn't it? One-nil to the Potters. But I'm sure there will be few people moaning tonight.

That Ricardo Fuller goal has taken the team out of the bottom three and up to the dizzying heights of 15th.

It has taken us into double figures in points.

Just to put that in perspective, we now have three times as many wins and only one few point than Derby managed in the whole of last season.

Stoke will need about 40 points to survive in this league.

If we manage a draw against Arsenal at the Brit on Saturday, then three wins between now and Christmas would take us half way to achieving safety.

We now have three times as many wins and only one few point than Derby managed in the whole of last season.

Given our record against the Baggies, I reckon we should be hopeful of getting one of those wins against West Brom at home.

It will still be tough, but tonight we have reason to hope.
