I look around at the young girls in Northwich and shudder!

Some of you may already know about my beauty finds of the week but for those that don’t this one is just for you!
I needed some new hair conditioner and I’m always on the look out for something new to try. All these TV adverts promoting ‘swishy’ hair, or luxuriant locks because you’re worth it leave me wondering how one earth I can have hair that looks the same (apart from wearing a wig). As I browsed along the shelves I could not get over the varying prices of said conditioners. To be honest I wasn’t sure if Mr Sherwood would agree that I really was worth it at those prices! I somehow ended up at the baby product section and came across a tube of Johnsons ‘no more tangles’ leave in conditioner.
“Why not”, I thought – well what a find. My hair is lovely and soft and smells nice as well; this is definitely one worth trying.
My other beauty tip of the week is for those of us ladies who perhaps like me don’t enjoy wearing loads of make-up. I look around at the young girls walking around Northwich who have used the trowel method of make-up application and shudder! I much prefer a more natural look however it is fair to say that me going completely eau naturale comes with its own safety warning!
I came across an advert for a product by Loreal called Studio Secrets. Initially I was put off by it being called a smoothing resurfacing primer as it sounded more like something I would use for finishing off the walls.
However the blurb around it stating that it minimised pores and fine lines was very tempting. The first thing to say is that it comes in a very small container and at £10 I wasn’t sure if I would get value for money but on the other hand if it lived up to its advertising then it may well be money well spent. Now it won’t turn you into Claudia Schiffer but it will leave you with what feels like incredibly smooth skin and it does smooth out the old laughter lines. You can wear it with or without foundation so the choice is yours but I definitely think it is worth treating yourself to.
I’m off to see if there is an all over smoothing resurfacing primer now – have fun!
