Match pointers
NORTHWICH will want to recover quickly after suffering their heaviest league defeat for more than a year at Kendal in midweek, when they lost 4-1.

It marked only their second defeat on the road this term, leaving them locked on points with tomorrow’s hosts and Chorley on 61 points behind leaders Chester.

Management team Martin Foyle and Alan Wright hope to have Chris Budrys (thigh) available again after he sat out Tuesday’s thrashing, but Jordan Johnson (groin) is still not ready to return.

Vics have won four of seven encounters away from home against teams in the table’s top 10 , but they face a tricky test when they face Hednesford for the first time.

The Pitmen have lost only once in front of their own fans this term – against neighbours Chasetown – with only Chester boasting a better points per game average on home turf.

Manager Rob Smith will check on the fitness of four regulars before picking his team, which ended a four-matches wait for a win in last weekend’s 2-0 win at Whitby.
