JONNY Allan blasted the winner as Northwich Victoria scored a stunning victory at promotion hopefuls AFC Telford United.
The visitors were good value for their win, even playing the final few minutes with one less player following Michael Connor’s dismissal for two bookings.
By then though the hosts had run out of ideas.
Vics hit the front on seven minutes, Bucks’ old boy Mark Danks tapping home at the far post after Mat Bailey had drilled Lee Elam’s free kick across the face of goal.
Andy Preece’s men dominated after that with first Connor and then Jon D’Laryea spurning glorious opportunities to double their team’s tally.
They paid.
James Spencer had already diverted Jon Adams’ header wide at full stretch before Telford captain Gavin Cowan powered in Sean Newton’s corner before the break.
But Allan fizzed an unstoppable free kick past Ryan Young on 53 minutes to settle the outcome.
Connor’s over exuberance earned him a second caution when he slid foolishly into Young, adding a another yellow to an earlier caution for a foul.
Match report to follow.
