Northwich Victoria sign Lee Ashcroft as first team manager
2:06pm Tuesday 27th November 2012 in News
Lee Ashcroft
LEE Ashcroft is the new first-team manager of Northwich Victoria.
Talks were concluded with the six-year Kendal Town boss, a former England under 21, Preston North End, West Bromwich Albion, Grimsby Town and Wigan Athletic striker, on Monday night.
A statement from Vics reads: “We believe we have secured the services of a manager with not only a proven track record at this level, but with the ambition and desire to take a team to the top of non-league football and beyond.
“Lee has served his former club well over several years and produced a significant number of young players who have gone on to ply their trade higher up the football pyramid.
“We look forward to a long working relationship with Lee to assist him in rebuilding a team, the club and its supporters; that we can be proud of for many years to come.”

I can't help but wonder why such a respected non-league manager would put himself in such a position unless he thinks he's managing the new club.

"Real" fans are the ONLY fans of NVFC - there will never be another NVFC - so long may it remain.
Now, rather than answering statements with one liners, pledging your allegiance to JRFC and Rushe why not explain why you continue to support JRFC and Jim Rushe's business with some positive factual information to counter the negative evidence of relegation's, non payment of the CVA'ss, WUP's, CCJ's, appeals, bankruptcy?
That's if you can put more than one sentence together!

That's if you can put more than one sentence together!
1. Mr Rushe losing of the VS and assets?
2. Mr Rushe's £1.4m debt and non payment of CVA to the creditors?
3. Mr Rushe's WUP for NVD and NVFC 2004 Ltd?
4. Mr Rushe's numerous CCJ's against NVD and NVFC 2004 Ltd and NVFC 2007 Ltd?
5. Mr Rushe's constant relegations?
6. Mr Rushe's appeals against FA and League Rules and Regulations?
7. Mr Rushe's appeals against WUP's and bankruptcy?
8. Mr Rushe's bankruptcy implications?
9. Mr Rushe's lies about his plans to move back to Northwich?
10. Mr Rushe owning two football clubs?
11. Mr Rushe changing the name of Northwich Victoria FC to Flixton Victoria FC?
Now tell us why you think JRFC is the same club that was formed in 1874 and why you support his business?

I am quite capable of writing more than one sentence as you say, but feel very frustrated and appalled at the way "The Trust" has treated me.
If they had stuck to what they said at the very beginning of this saga, which was I quote "we will not start a new club until the old one has gone" then if and when the old club had gone - I would have been more than willing to assist and help in any way towards a new club - and I think the skills I have would have been very useful to all concerned.
I would also like to state that I am not following Jim Rushe - I am following NVFC and will continue to do so as long as it may remain - I am there for the team to support them whatever.
I trust this helps clarify my position and I;m pleased I have found time to write more than "one sentence" hope you are pleased too?
Thank you

Please don't feel that the Trust have treated YOU badly, the vote at the SGM was 97% in favour of a new club, it was a democratic vote that decided the result and you should respect that decision.
By the way, you have a very short memory....
If Rushe had stuck to what he promised at the very beginning of this saga, we wouldn't be in this position now.

As for skirting round questions re: Mr Rushe's business - his business has nothing to do with me - I follow the football team as I have said before. If anything goes wrong and the team goes then that is when I have a decision to make as to which team I follow next - that is my decision and my decision ONLY - not have abuse from "The Trust" because I don't go along with what they want me to do.

Oh dear AFC Northwich - are we upset again??? - I don't feel bad - I just feel so sad - :-( - when things could have been so different and as for respect - I do respect the new club and I wish you all well - hope you prosper - good luck with your new club.

You talk as if you're not member of the Trust but complain that the Trust has treated you badly, so are you a Trust member or not?

The abuse I have received on the Trust forum is unbelievable - likening me to "a Monkey" for instance.
I suppose that is mild compared to other comments about other people - but at my age in life I find it very rude.
When I challenged "The Trust" I was told freedom of speech is allowed on the forum - but when others say anything about the Trust it is slander? - so I'm a little bit confused by their comments.
I think it best left now.

Another great performance from the mighty vics last night. The new team is settling in really well. Leadbeater played last night and looked awesome.
Rushe's mercenaries may well be settling in well and maybe going from strength to strength.
Rushe may actually be able to buy success in this league but I think you should settle down and get use to playing at this level.

Thanks for the tips antony. Oh by the way you got your figures wrong on the trust forum on your jrfc income thread. Admission price was only £5. Would of pointed it out on the forum but i have been banned by the dictators.

I wonder if Lee also knows the full implications of NVFC 2004 Ltd being wound up and what that will now lead too?

To be honest I'm not interested but thought that Lee would be considering that he fell for Rushe's BS about future plans.
What are your thoughts on the recent news about Rushe's bankruptcy, NVD Ltd winding up and NVFC 2004 Ltd winding up?
Are these all part of Rushe's plans to move JRFC back to Northwich?
What feelings do you have for the creditors owned ££££££'s?
Do you honestly believe that Rushe will be welcomed back in Northwich.......
