FOOTBALL fans can raise cash for their favourite club at Vics’ fourth annual beer festival.

This year’s edition takes place at Lostock Sports and Social Club this Saturday from 6pm.

“We’ve decided that money raised will be put into a fighting fund set up by supporters to help preserve the club’s future,” said organiser Andrew Perry.

More than a dozen varieties of beers and ciders will be available to taste, including the return of the popular Moonshine cider from last year’s event.

Musical entertainment is provided by Jim Stanley, plus The Floating Heads.

Admission is £5, which includes a commemorative limited edition glass.

Advance tickets are on sale at Brew 2 Bottle, on London Road, and Level One, on Witton Street.

A free shuttle bus service will run from the Penny Black pub in Northwich town centre to Lostock from 5.30pm through to 6.45pm.

Return trips start again at 9.45pm.
