NORTHWICH Victoria could be left with nowhere to play after the club were told that a mystery bidder has agreed to buy their home patch.

The Evo-Stik NPL Premier Division club were served with a notice to vacate their Victoria Stadium home last night, Monday, by bailiffs acting for finance experts Deloitte Touche.

It is not known at this stage who the buyers are, nor what their intentions are.

The Guardian has asked Deloitte to comment, but has yet to receive a reply.

“It’s a devastating blow,” said Vics owner Jim Rushe.

“At the moment all of my attention is being put into finding out more.”

He plans to seek legal advice on the club’s position.

Officials at the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League have been informed this afternoon too.

It is the second blow to hit the title-hopefuls in the space of 24 hours following yesterday’s departure of manager Andy Preece and his coaching team.

However they did not know anything about the latest development.
