Stars battle it out for TV prizes

Harry Hill, Ant and Dec and Michael McIntyre will battle it out for a top prize at a major TV industry awards bash.

They are shortlisted for the best entertainment performance award at the Royal Television Society Programme Awards.

The event, at London's Grosvenor House Hotel, will see two of Simon Cowell's shows going head-to-head for the best entertainment show prize - Britain's Got Talent and The X Factor. They face BBC Four's Newswipe with Charlie Brooker in the category.

Fighting it out for the prize for best presenter will be James May for his BBC Two series Toy Stories, Piers Morgan for his ITV1 chat series Life Stories and Louis Theroux for his BBC Two programme A Place for Paedophiles.

Comedian and Gavin And Stacey star Rob Brydon will host the event.
