MIKE Worthington will talk to other clubs about selling themselves online.

The Witton chairman has been asked to speak at a seminar for non-league set ups looking to raise funds on the Internet.

It takes place next Thursday, May 8.

As part of his presentation, Worthington will also be describing the club's experience in selling advertising space on the website to local businesses.

Albion's official website has been praised for providing post match video highlights that include interviews with the manager and players.

However, at the time of writing this, there had been no word about the departure of manager Jim Vince and his assistant Nigel Deeley.

The Albion boss quit Wincham Park on Wednesday after his side's play off semi final defeat against Buxton.

Worthington admitted that Vince's unexpected exit had left him at his lowest ebb since taking over as chairman more than a decade ago.

He still plans to front the seminar next week though.

"We see the event as having strong appeal to club secretaries and chairmen everywhere," said Mark Bailey, whose company - Sponsor-Link - has organised the seminar.

"Mike has a reputation for making the right business decisions and has a lot of valuable experience to share."

The Winsford based firm is also the league's official web development partner.

The seminar will be held at Albion's Wincham Park home from 7.30pm.

Admission is free.

Witton's official website is a joke. Let's hope these funds that are raised via this magnificent website can be pumped into the football side of the business

This is rediculous! Witton's official website is a load of rubbish, for a start it introduced itself as the "official website of Stocksbridge Park Steels FC" ... it is poorly laid out with very poor content and is an embarressment to the club.

If Mike Worthington thinks this is a model website for a semi-pro football club, then it just proves that he is completely deluded.
