Match pointers
WITTON Albion seek a league double over their Cheshire neighbours later today to continue their pursuit of Curzon Ashton for second spot in the standings.

Brian Pritchard’s men extended their unbeaten run to 11 matches in Evo-Stik NPL Division One North following Saturday’s 2-1 win at Lancaster City, their best run of form in the league this term.

The Witton boss may shuffle his pack with another match to follow at Cammell Laird on Friday, leaving Ashley Stott and Matthew Cross on stand-by.

Front man Liam Newman (hamstring) continues to convalesce after injury.

New Warrington boss Shaun Reid celebrated his first win after a weekend success at home to Ossett Town, but his start has been a mixed one with a draw and a defeat – by 7-1 at Durham City – the outcome of his two other games in charge.

The Yellows are without an away win in their past six attempts too.

Midfielder Gerard Kinsella limped out of Saturday’s 2-0 win after damaging a hamstring, otherwise Town have a full strength team to pick from.
