Match pointers
WITTON seek to beat Ossett Albion for a third time this term when they head to West Yorkshire tomorrow, Saturday.
They have plundered ten goals in the previous two meetings.
Albion’s winning sequence in Division One North stands at three following a home humbling by Trafford earlier this month, helping them to third in the standings.
Manager Brian Pritchard expects to pick from a full squad – Jamie Harrison apart – for the trip, with Chris Gahgan pushing for a starting place in attack.
Carl Clampitt, Oliver James and Tom Schofield battle for a place alongside Anthony Sheehan, last week’s match-winner against Wakefield, in the heart of midfield.
Ossett have suffered a miserable week after suffering back-to-back defeats against leaders AFC Fylde and then Bamber Bridge, leaking seven goals.
Before that they had lost only once in seven league games since November.
It’s a run of results that helped Ossett to move three points clear of the drop zone.
Full backs Aaron Guiry and Stefan Holt both limped out of Tuesday’s 4-0 loss at Brig, while Dale Kelly has struggled with an ankle injury in recent weeks.
