AFC FYLDE extended their winning sequence to eight matches on Saturday after putting three goals without reply past Ossett Albion.

The Coasters are tied on points with Curzon Ashton, who have now won back-to-back matches following a five-games winless streak.

They proved too strong for in -formGarforth Town at the weekend.

Witton Albion remain in contention to challenge for the title, climbing to third place in the table after a single-goal success against Wakefield.

It was a better day too for Skelmersdale United, who ended a run of four straight defeats by beating Radcliffe Borough.

In-form Trafford scored a fine away win against fellow play-offs hopefuls Woodley Sports, but the hopes of Lancaster City were hit in a 2-1 defeat against Ossett Town.

The Dolly Blues have won only one of their past seven league encounters.

At the other end of the table, wooden spoonists Cammell Laird put five goals past Harrogate Railway Athletic, including a treble for Jack McGowan.

Warrington Town became the first team to shut out Farsley in 18 matches in a 1-0 win at Throstle Nest.

There was no winner at Clitheroe, where Mossley were the visitors, while Salford City shared the spoils too with Bamber Bridge
