Match Pointers
WITTON Albion face the latest in a series of must-win matches at home to fellow play-offs contenders Carlton Town tomorrow, Saturday.
Manager Gary Finley may have to pick a team missing its first choice spine with keeper Aaron Grundy and Brian Pritchard injured while skipper Paul Henry and top scorer Steve Foster are both suspended.
Club stalwart Pritchard is almost over a thigh injury though and so is pushing for a recall.
There is a question mark too over Carl Lamb’s involvement after he came off injured during the midweek draw at Glapwell. Mike Moseley stands by.
Ryan Broadhead competes with newcomer Darren Jones for a place in the heart of midfield alongside Peter Heler.
Visitors Carlton can match Albion’s points tally if they win their two games in hand, so will be keen to complete a league double over the men from Wincham Park following their 4-1 success in November.
Goalkeeper Antonio Barcherini was forced out of their last match with an ankle injury, leaving manager Tommy Brookbanks with a potential selection headache.
The Miller have lost only one of their past seven league encounters – a 3-1 reverse at Leek Town – and arrive in town buoyed by beating another play-offs hopeful, Rushall Olympic, last time out.
