WITTON Albion will be desperate to return to winning ways at the expense of a promotion rival tomorrow, Saturday.

Gary Finley’s men have gone six matches in league and cup with savouring success.

The Albion boss can call upon a near full-strength squad for the Scholars’ visit with only long-term injury absentee Paul Booth (ankle) and banned Carl Ruffer missing.

Top scorer Steve Foster and Mike Moseley, both left out in midweek, are pushing for a starting place.

Albion’s home form is strong though; they have not lost a league encounter in front of their own fans since August – a 1-0 reverse at home to Leek Town.

Opponents Chasetown have the incentive of climbing to the top of the table should they beat Witton.

Charlie Blakemore could hand league debuts to newcomers Scott Embrey, Gary Hay and Ramone Stephens after they all joined in the past month.

Only Kidsgrove Athletic have scored more points on the road than Chasetown in the league this season, and they have won five of their past half dozen encounters away from home.
