MARK Cadwallader is out to impress Witton Albion manager Gary Finley after extending his loan stay at Wincham Park until the end of March.

Successive postponements restricted the Northwich Victoria utility man to just one start in his first four weeks with the UniBond League Division One South promotion hopefuls.

But he did feature in last night’s 1-1 draw at home to Cammell Laird.

A former Chester City junior, Cadwallader has made only one appearance as a substitute for Northwich in Blue Square North this season after becoming manager Andy Preece’s first signing of the summer.

He scored on his single start in a 6-0 rout of North West Counties League Division One minnows Cheadle Town in the Cheshire FA Senior Cup back in November.

Preece told the Guardian last week that the 21-year-old was free to find football elsewhere as he did not figure in the ex-Bury boss’ plans.
