WITTON Albion’s return to the Northern Premier League’s top-flight begins with a trip to Derbyshire.
Carl Macauley’s men visit Mickleover Sports, opponents they have never faced in a Premier Division fixture, on Saturday, August 12.
The first visitors to Wincham Park the following Tuesday are Buxton, who a guest that will have unhappy memories of an FA Cup exit at the same ground last term.
Sutton Coldfield are next in Northwich the following weekend before Albion make their longest away trip of the campaign, to Workington, on Tuesday, August 22.
August concludes with another lengthy journey to Barwell before a mouth-watering home date with promotion-hopefuls Altrincham on Bank Holiday Monday.
Stalybridge Celtic, relegated from National League North last season, are among September’s visitors along with Marine – where former Witton boss Tony Sullivan is assistant to Tommy Lawson.
A meeting with FA Cup heroes Stourbridge is a highlight during November, which also includes an always-popular trek to Whitby.
Meanwhile Albion resume a rivalry with Shaw Lane, with whom they battled for the First Division South title last season, in the run-up to Christmas.
Warrington make a short hop to Wincham on Boxing Day before Witton play a return game at Moss Lane on New Year’s Day.
In between, they entertain Barwell.
Easter Monday is reserved for a second meeting with Yellows before the campaign concludes on the last Saturday in April with a visit from Lancaster.
