After back-to-back knockout matches, Witton Albion turn their attention back to the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League and a race for promotion from Division One South.

They travel to Chasetown, who have lost only once in eight home matches this term.

Both teams occupy a place in the table’s top five before kick-off, with the Scholars a point better off.

However Carl Macauley’s men have four games in hand.

They lost at Belper last time out.

Numbers game

Witton have performed well on their travels to teams in the table’s top half this term, winning at Newcastle and Sheffield as well as sharing the spoils with Romulus.

Chasetown have won three of their past four Division One South matches, although their progress was tempered by a 2-1 defeat at improving Sheffield last weekend.

Man to keep an eye on

Steven Tames

The front man, on loan from Stalybridge Celtic, has formed a burgeoning partnership with Rob Hopley in Witton’s attack.

His powerful running, and ability to hold up the ball, has made for a smooth transition following the end of Tolani Omotola’s temporary switch from Tranmere.

Albion team news

Defender Anthony Brown (knee) is still not ready to return, while Wes Benjamin – a goal-scoring hero last weekend in the FA Trophy – has since left to re-join former club Clitheroe.

Billy Reeves is available again after recovering from an injury, while Karl Noon has also shaken off a knock that forced him to leave the field early during Tuesday's League Cup encounter with Glossop North End.

Paul Williams (ankle) is however a doubt to feature.
