Match pointers
WITTON Albion’s task is to prevent tomorrow’s hosts Marine from winning back-to-back league matches for the first time this season.
Tony Sullivan’s men, 3-0 victors against Nantwich on Boxing Day, have won four of their past seven Premier Division games.
Their reward has been to climb from the bottom four.
Albion have lost on their past two visits to Crosby, including a 2-1 reverse last season.
The visitors will be forced to reshuffle their defence at the Arriva Stadium, with Ben Harrison out of action while he finalises a move away and Sam Barnes on holiday.
Liam Gibson stands by to start again after impressing on his debut against the Dabbers.
Marine ended a nine-match sequence without a victory in the Premier Division by beating Halesowen on Sunday.
They haven’t won at the Arriva Stadium since a 2-1 success against Rushall on October 14, though they did lead Curzon Ashton 2-0 on the Saturday before Christmas only for a power cut to force the game’s abandonment.
No side has scored fewer than their 12 goals, from 10 matches, on home turf.
Midfielder Jon Goulding continues to recover from an injury, while goalkeeper Matt Cooper and full back Mike Lea are familiar faces to Witton supporters.
