WITTON Albion have announced the signing of striker Dave Walker following his release by league rivals Rushall Olympic last month.
The 30-year-old forward was a spectator for last Saturday’s 4-1 win at home to Stocksbridge Park Steels, agreeing terms with manager Brian Pritchard during a meeting after the final whistle.
Officials at the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League approved his arrival late on Monday.
Walker scored five goals in as many starts for Witton during a loan stay earlier this season, including a double on his debut in a 3-2 win at Worksop Town in October.
He counts Kidsgrove Athletic and Nantwich Town among his former clubs, hitting the net more than 100 times over the past five seasons.
More to follow.
