Match pointers
WITTON protect a six-match unbeaten sequence in the Premier Division, their best run of results this season, when they visit King’s Lynn Town tomorrow, Saturday.

After bowing out of the FA Trophy against lower-ranked Leek in midweek, ending a nine-games stretch in all competitions without defeat, Albion have an added incentive to pick up points.

They have only shut out their hosts once on the road to date though.

Central defender Rob Bodie is available again after being ineligible for the 2-1 defeat against Blues, a game in which full back Anthony Gardner returned as a substitute after two months out with an ankle injury.

Hosts King’s Lynn have lost only one of their past six Premier Division encounters.

Gary Setchell’s men have avoided defeat too in each of five home league games against teams from the table’s bottom half.

Wide man Marc Goodfellow has arrived to strengthen a midfield shorn of skipper Richard Bunting in the past fortnight, while top scorer Dan Jacob has relocated to the Middle East.

Former Lincoln striker Rob Duffy, injured when Shaun Tuck settled the head-to-head between the teams at Wincham Park in August, now leads the Linnets’ attack.
