Match pointers
WITTON seek to extend what is already their best wins sequence of the season in the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League’s top tier when Buxton visit.

Albion have won three successive Premier Division matches, keeping back-to-back clean sheets for the first time as well when shutting out Eastwood a fortnight ago.

Don’t bet on a draw either, for Brian Pritchard’s men have now gone 14 games without one in the league.

He is unlikely to tinker too much with a winning team, although Matthew Cross is in full training again after a knee injury.

Josh Glover and Jamie Harrison are alternatives in defence and midfield too.

Albion are in form, for only leaders North Ferriby United and Hednesford Town have picked up more points in the past six Premier Division games.

Visitors Buxton, who pushed Football Conference high-fliers Grimsby Town all the way in the FA Trophy, are unbeaten in four games on the road in the league.

The Bucks have won only one of their past six in the Premier Division though.

Scott Maxfield returns from suspension for the trip to Northwich, while top scorer Mark Reed and midfielder Michael Towey hope to be healthy enough to play after sitting out Tuesday’s 2-2 draw at Stafford Rangers.

Versatile Kallum Keane has not played since the FA Trophy draw at Grimsby.
