Match pointers
WITTON will not need reminding that these opponents sent them out of the competition at last season’s semi finals stage.

Middlewich are much-changed since the two team’s March meeting though, now under the tutelage of Adam Morris since Dave Parr’s departure at the end of last term.

He has had to rebuild a squad that has shown signs of improvement in the past month, including a six-goals thrashing of Lostock.

Craig Millington, who scored the opener when the Witches ran out 2-1 victors in Wincham earlier this year, continues to lead the attack.

Town lost at Pilkington in the Cheshire League’ on Saturday, a result that leaves them three points above the relegation zone.

However they have scored 11 times in their past three games.

Hosts Witton may hand a debut to new recruit Josh Horne, a student at MMU Cheshire, while Joe Shaw is likely to be given more playing time as he continues his comeback following ankle surgery.

It is too early for Steven Connors (hamstring) to return, though defender Josh Glover is in line to feature after recovering from a groin strain.

Holders Northwich Victoria, Congleton Town and Winsford United are already through to the last four.
