ADAM Warlow hit another hat-trick as Witton returned to winning ways following Tuesday's FA Trophy exit.

But Albion had to wait until Rod Thornley's last minute strike to be sure of seeing off their plucky guests who put in a performance not befitting their lowly league position.

Even they had no answer to Warlow's fourth treble of the term.

His opener came on 10 minutes.

Mark Peers was fed by Thornley on the right and the winger's measured cross was met by a powerful Warlow header that thumped in off the post.

Despite long periods of Ferriby pressure Warlow doubled his tally seven minutes before the break.

It was a piece of individual brilliance from the former Crewe star, picking up the ball inside the box and drilling a fierce right foot shot across keeper Antoni Pecora and into the net.

The visitors pulled a goal back within a minute.

A deep cross over the head of Brian Pritchard fell to the feet of top scorer Gary Bradshaw who made no mistake from close range.

The respite for Ferriby was brief.

On the whistle Warlow completed his hat-trick, this time despatching a left foot shot from just inside the penalty area to take his season tally to 17.

But Albion's lead was halved once more within a minute of the restart, Bradshaw again cashing in on a defensive lapse to coolly slot home his second.

Neil Allison's men came close to a leveller on the hour when the ball fizzed across Albion's six-yard box before Witton keeper Jon Kennedy was called on to produce a fingertip save to turn another goalbound effort over the bar.

Thornley bagged the goal that secured the points in the last minute, dancing past a defender before lifting a chip over Pecora.
