WITTON waltzed to a sixth successive win on Saturday in front of the biggest crowd to watch a league game at Wincham Park this season.

It keeps Brian Pritchard’s men in the play-offs places in Evo-Stik NPL Division One North.

Liam Newman and Daniel Andrews were on target before the break to put visitors Ossett Town on the back foot, adding three more goals in the contest’s final quarter hour.

Former Winsford front man Newman and in-form Andrews swelled their individual tallies before substitute Mark Buchan made it 5-0 close to full time.

They trail unbeaten leaders Curzon Ashton by ten points with a game in hand but, after winning 15 of their past 17 games in all competitions, are contenders too for top spot.
