WITTON Albion did exactly as manager Carl Macauley had asked.

There was no sign of a slip up at lowly Loughborough Dynamo, where Brad Bauress second-half hat-trick extended his side’s unbeaten run in the Northern Premier League to nine matches.

It increases his goal tally for the campaign to 21.

This was no stroll, and Karl Demidh’s dipping shot almost crept in early on.

However the visitors took the lead on 17 minutes, Rob Hopley’s strike deflecting past goalkeeper Jack Tolley after the home team had given the ball away.

Loughborough almost drew level before the break, but Albion custodian Ryan Crump blocked Louis Keenan’s attempt.

Witton dominated the second half, although they again survived an early scare when Louis Guest headed off-target from Keenan’s centre.

The outcome was settled during a purple patch for Bauress, who scored three times during a 13-minute spell.

He steered in a first at the back post, then punished a mistake by Tolley after the net-minder sliced a clearance straight to him.

And he added gloss from the penalty spot with quarter of an hour left after Dynamo captain Carl Sibson committed a foul.

Crump had saved smartly to deny Jack Beckett at 2-0, but otherwise Albion were in complete control.

Scott Lycett’s header at a corner prompted Tolley to intervene, but by the contest had long been over.
