WITTON’S FA Cup campaign will start away from the club’s Wincham Park home next season.
Brian Pritchard’s men must wait to find out where they will play in the first qualifying round in September, as their opponents depend upon results at previous stages.
Albion are higher-ranked than any of their potential foes though.
North West Counties League Premier Division pair Padiham and Wigan Robin Park meet first in the extra preliminary round with Burscough – relegated from the Northern Premier League’s top tier last term – awaiting the victors.
The winner of that tie hosts Witton on Saturday, September 8, from 3pm.
Witton won four matches en route to the fourth qualifying round last term, where they lost 4-1 at home to Football Conference National club Barrow.
That run helped the club bank £16,500 in prize money.
Padiham play Wigan on Saturday, August 11 – when Witton complete their pre-season friendly programme at Vauxhall Motors – before Burscough enter the competition a fortnight later.
The reward for winning a first qualifying round tie in the coming campaign is £3,000.
