WITTON’S players were the best behaved on the pitch in Evo-Stik NPL Division One North last month.
Five clubs in the section averaged less than a single caution per game during March, with Albion’s tally the lowest of the bunch with just three cautions in eight games.
They sit third in the overall season standings too.
Steve Hobson, Northern Premier League management committee member, presented the award – a 1.5L bottle of The Famous Grouse whisky - to Witton skipper Anthony Sheehan before Monday’s home encounter with Warrington Town.
Meanwhile Lancaster City, winners of the Division One North Fair Play award for the past two seasons and current holders of the FA’s National Respect and Fair Play Award, maintain their lead at the top of the table.
