ALEX Titchiner took his goals tally past 30 as Witton put six past an opponent for the fourth time this term.

Albion were ruthless in a 6-1 humbling of Evo-Stik NPL Division One North strugglers Harrogate Railway Athletic last night, Tuesday, extending their unbeaten sequence to seven matches.

They close to within eight points of leaders Curzon Ashton – with a game in hand – as a reward.

Chris Gaghan, playing in place of ill Ashley Stott, put Witton ahead from Titchiner’s assist before Albion’s top scorer hit the net twice in as many minutes to make it 3-0.

Thomas Jackson’s header reduced the hosts’ arrears, only for Josh Hancock to restore his team’s three-goals advantage with a cute finish on the hour.

Substitute Mark Buchan added another with eight minutes left before Harrogate’s Phil Lindley diverted Anthony Sheehan’s assist into his own goal to complete the rout.

Witton have now won a dozen of 18 games away from the Help for Heroes Stadium this term, more than anybody else in the division.

Their goals haul – now at 42 – is biggest too.

Title hopefuls AFC Fylde’s 2-0 success at Salford City means Albion remain third in the standings, but with the incentive of cutting Curzon’s advantage to five points should they win a game in hand.
